Attendance at Sporting Events this Fall
We are excited that our athletes are back on campus and working hard preparing for their first competition of the season. This year’s game day procedures will look a little different both at our home and at away events.
Our first home football game will be on Friday, September 11, at 7:00 pm.
This season, we will be able to welcome about 25% of the stadium’s capacity and we will be seating fans every other row to allow for social distancing. Each football and cheer team member will have the opportunity to purchase 2 tickets for this first home football game. Tickets will not be available on the night of the event.
Our Cougar fans will be able to view our football games as well as other athletic events this year via live streaming from our stadium. Additional information regarding the options to view Pixelot streaming is forthcoming.
We will be communicating the Game Day Procedures for all of our away events when we receive that information. We appreciate everyone’s understanding of these changes.
New Athletic Trainer
We are pleased to announce our new Athletic Trainer Paige Ahart. Miss Paige was born in Iowa and did her undergrad at the University Nebraska where she also served as the Student Athletic Trainer for the Cornhuskers Football Team. In addition, she has served as an Athletic Trainer in several Hillsborough and Pinellas County schools. She most recently served as the Head Trainer for the Cirque de Soleil European traveling show. We are thrilled to welcome Paige to our Cougar Family.
New Girls Golf Coach
Last week, we announced Saskia Souchak as the new Head Coach for our Cougars Girls Golf program. Coach Souchak has been a PGA Golf Professional for over 20 years and loves to promote the game of golf. She also serves as the Assistant at Misty Creek Country Club. Coach Souchak is an amazing addition to our Mooney Coaching Staff and we are so pleased to have her on board.
