| Established in 1959, Cardinal Mooney High School,operated by the Diocese of Venice, serves Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte Counties. Rooted in the Catholic tradition but open to people of all faiths and backgrounds who share our mission and values, we are dedicated to providing a values-based education for all families who desire it. Our motto, "Serving God in the Community," emphasizes a strong sense of family, faith, personal responsibility and community service.
The Catholic Christian faith is the purpose behind the existence of Cardinal Mooney High School. Through our daily prayers, classroom instruction and discussions, weekly liturgies and yearly retreats, we attempt to create an atmosphere of mutual respect and spiritual growth so that our students may reach new levels of Christian maturity.
